On the 28 November 2023 I received knowledge that my claim of R20,600.00 was allowed and on the 29 Nov 2023 knowledge that the claim was paid into my baking account. That is within 3 weeks. I am highly impressed. The money was transferred to my savings account today.
You suggested that I should use the R1,009.00 that I saved from Discovery Classic Saver to Classic Priority and monthly pay it into a saving account and then I can use that for expenses that is not covered by my savings plan. You helped me through the entire process of the different claims. I do not know how you got the Sandton Mediclinic account to Discovery in such a short time.

I have been a member of Cura since January 2018 and until very recently I never needed to use Cura’s services.So, I was forced to see a dermatologist during March and I ended up with a hefty co-payment after my fund, of course, only paid out the fund rate. As a pensioner, the additional payment was a shock to the pocket. I checked my Cura correspondence and noticed that with certain treatments, consulting room procedures can be claimed from Cura. Therefore, I contacted Cura’s claims department and my paths crossed with Juthea Vogel.
Juthea was very helpful, immediately registered a claim (as well as registering a claim for a future claim for a procedure that had to follow) and requested that I forward the necessary claim form with accompanying documentation to her – just maybe, I could have a few rands from the excess recovered. Wow, what a relief it was when I did get a few rands back, although not a lot.
Following the initial visit to the dermatologist, further procedures followed. As mentioned, Juthea had already registered the claim because both of us expected that one of the doctors involved would result in an additional payment – which was indeed the case at the time.

Once my Urologist informed me that I had Prostate cancer, CURA Administrators paid out a R10,000.00 cancer bonus which was totally unexpected and incredibly generous.
In a nutshell, if you ever decide to wisely insure yourself for medical expenses over and above medical aid rates, I have no hesitation in recommending CURA Administrators as the best in the business in my humble opinion.

I have just received confirmation in terms of settlements for claims and wanted to say a big thank you. Having now experienced dealing with various service providers for info relating to detailed billing issues and requests for copies, etc., I can understand the challenges facing Cura and the many inflated prices that these providers tend to charge.
